I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
